Is it just me? Or do some of you also sometimes wonder?

I don't know what it is exactly about reading the bible, stories of God's interaction with men in the old testament, the poetic but often vague language of Jesus' parables, or descriptions of miracles, walking on water, feeding the masses with five loaves and fishes or the casting out of demons. Or perhaps an empty tomb on Easter Sunday, the most important day of the Christian calendar.

Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived. - ISAAC ASIMOV

Somewhere along the way my sense of credulity was stretched beyond it's capacity. And sadly, even the threat of eternal damnation has been unable to restore its elasticity.

Recently, I have been enjoying reading and learning about the bible. As I have said elsewhere, religion has been a topic of lifelong fascination to me. But I just can't help being the naughty non-believer that I am. ;)

Happy Easter!
